Olysis is the innovative integrated odour management system for companies and the public administration.
It is an application based on environmental data intelligence, the set of technologies that makes it possible to model, predict and control complex environmental systems.
In industrial plants, the most critical points are point sources and fugitive emissions. The study of emission factors is fundamental to an integrated approach.
Source Monitoring is carried out through multi- sensor mobile instruments that can sample the air directly from the process lines, reducing the disturbance caused by dust and humidity. All monitoring data are stored on local media and available to the user. The information enables continuous odour monitoring and remote diagnostics, calibrations and sensor configuration.
Source monitoring can interface with the Osmotreff system, a tool, developed by T&A Tecnologia e Ambiente, which monitors odour abatement in the field, using the following technological solutions:
• column treatment with activated carbon;
• different types of scrubbers with different chemical washing solutions.
The information obtained is strategic for improving environmental performance or designing new plants more efficiently.
In order to verify the real-time behaviour of emissions according to weather and climate conditions, fence line monitoring systems can be installed, which take into account the emissions of the entire plant.The instruments used for monitoring, called IOMS, are equipped with various sensors.
The instruments learn to recognise the type and intensity of odours with the help of Artificial Intelligence.When threshold values (intensity and duration), specified on the basis of monitoring data and shared with the control authority, are exceeded, OdorPrep® captures the air in bags of inert materials (Nalophan), which are then collected and analysed.
By coupling the IOMS with weather stations, we carry out odour emission dispersion analysis relative to source and receptor location.
ALL THE DATA, CLEARLY AND IMMEDIATELY
Data from IOMS devices and weather stations are automatically stored on a management cloud and visualised on a web interface, which makes it possible to control:
• the proper functioning of the equipment;
• monitoring trends.
Monitoring at the receptor serves to objectify and correlate the perception of olfactory discomfort with the emissions monitored at the border. Monitoring and sampling takes place, also in this case, using IOMS devices and the OdorPrep ® system.
Sampling can be activated directly by citizens via a mobile app.
Activation is based on the number of reports of olfactory harassment, the intensity levels, the position of the receptors and the weather conditions.

Olysis combines historical data, real-time monitoring and high-resolution forecasting to improve processes and eliminate problems.
